Specialties

Two Specialties, One Practice

Premier Hematology & Oncology provides care in both hematology and medical oncology: the diagnosis and treatment of blood disorders, and the treatment of cancer in adults.

The two overlap constantly. An abnormal blood count can turn out to be an iron deficiency or a blood cancer, and the same physician evaluates both. Because Dr. Nasser is trained and board certified in both fields, your care does not get handed off partway through.

Hematology

The care of blood disorders, from the very common to the complex.

Most people referred to a hematologist do not have cancer. Far more often the reason is an abnormal number on a routine blood test: a low hemoglobin, a high platelet count, an iron level that does not fit. We work out what is causing it, explain what the numbers mean, and treat the cause.

We also manage blood clots and clotting disorders, bleeding and platelet disorders, and bone marrow conditions including myeloma, lymphoma, and leukemia.

Oncology

Personalized cancer care for adults, from diagnosis through follow-up.

We treat a broad range of solid tumors, and we take the time to explain the diagnosis before discussing treatment. Where it can change your options, we use molecular and genomic testing to understand the specific characteristics of your cancer.

We also welcome second-opinion consultations, whether you were recently diagnosed or simply want another perspective on a plan already underway.
